FAI and OFPP have released a new online course, FAC 098 Contract Innovation Exploration, in FAI CSOD. This online self-paced course is for all acquisition workforce members (FAC-C, FAC-COR, and FAC P/PM) and consists of eight (8) individual activities that students can complete in any order. The course should take about 90 minutes to complete and students will earn 1.5 CLPs. Below are the learning objectives of the course:
- Recognize cultural barriers to innovation and ways to address them (e.g., by adopting an innovative mindset).
- Identify authoritative sources that empower and/or encourage acquisition innovation, such as FAR 1.102-4, and acquisition innovation advocates.
- Leverage resources and tools that support use of innovative practices and technologies by acquisition teams, including the Periodic Table of Acquisition Innovation, labs, and the acquisition innovation hub.
